In 2018, 2019 and 2020, Min was the primary designer who helped shape Instagram’s Pride month features to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community. These Pride features include rainbow story rings, rainbow hashtags, rainbow hearts in Live broadcasts, and Pride multi-author stories.
In 2019, together with GLAAD, Instagram identified prominent and popular hashtags – such as #pride, #lgbtq, #bornperfect, #equalitymatters, #accelerateacceptance – that the LGBTQ+ community uses to share and connect with each other.
As the sole designer, Min worked closely with colleagues who are also passionate about diversity & inclusion efforts to create rainbow story experience when Pride related hashtags are used. This Pride activation lasted throughout the Pride month in June globally.
In 2020, Min designed the Pride multi-author stories as a new way for people to see all the Pride related stories in their connected network in one place and celebrate this inclusive cultural moment together.
